My Story

My health journey began when I turned 40. My doctor told me I’d need to take blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. That news scared me—heart disease runs in my family, and I didn’t want to go down the same path. I started paying more attention to my diet and tried to exercise, but I wasn’t consistent. I thought I was making progress, but by my mid-40s, my blood pressure was still high, and I had to switch several medications.

At the time, I was working long hours as a nurse while also running a small care business. I couldn’t say “no” to overtime and didn’t know how to set boundaries. The constant stress and exhaustion made me feel like I was just surviving, not living. Then, more health issues started piling up—acid reflux, pre-diabetes, bloating, weight gain, migraines, and brain fog. My doctor blamed hormones, but deep down, I felt there was something more going on.

I began searching online for answers, but the information was overwhelming and often contradictory. At that time, my daughter shared that her bloating had improved since she made dietary modifications. I learned scientific research supporting a holistic approach to health. I started eating more whole foods, reducing processed foods, and made lifestyle changes. I also learned how to manage stress and anxiety with prayer and mindfulness.

The results were incredible. I no longer need blood pressure medication, and my A1c is now below the pre-diabetic range. My energy has returned, my digestive issues improved, migraine headaches are gone, and I’ve lost weight—and the best part, I kept it off.
